You reduce stress by doing those things you need to do—getting second opinions, counseling, controlling your symptoms and sharing your feelings. You also reduce stress by doing the things you enjoy doing—listening to music, going to movies, enjoying your favorite hobby or finding a new hobby or attending religious services.
Successful methods for stress reduction are different for everyone. One person might meditate quietly, another might run a few miles. Most people find music relaxing, but one person might listen to rock 'n' roll while another listens to Mozart. There is no right way or wrong way.
